Association of Capoeira Engenho da Rainha UK

FAQs

Which classes are for beginners? All classes are for beginners.  After the warm-up the class is divided into 2, 3 or even 4 groups depending on abilities.

When can I start/join ACER? You can start at anytime. ACER doesn't believe in such as thing as a Capoeira Course. It is not in a 4/6 weeks course that you will learn Capoeira.

Do I have to be a gym member to take part in the class? NO. All classes are open to non-members as well. If reception doesn't let you in for any reason, or if you call reception and they say it is for members only, then please call us.

Do I have to book? NO, just turn up.

What do I have to bring and wear? All you have to bring is a bottle of water and the trial session money if you haven't paid online. Just wear anything you feel comfortable with, but ideally a track suit and a white or blue T-Shirt. Bring 1 left leg and 1 right leg, and 1 right arm and 1 left arm; not 2 rights or lefts… thanks!

How much is it? The trial session is only £6 each. After the trial you can either pay per session or pay monthly. it is cheaper to pay monthly than per session.

What are the kids ages? They start from 5 years old and go up to 11 years old. After that they have to join the adult classes. If you have a 4 year old we can try and see if he/she can follow it.
